Was he just a father gathering nuts to feed his family of four for the winter?
Or was she a single mother working for her young children to provide a better life for them?
Maybe it was young and just went out for the first time, experiencing a rush of freedom.
Why did our lives intersect today?
Why did the squirrel cross the road at the exact moment I was driving past?
If I would’ve swerved and missed, I could have went in the ditch or met a head on collision on
that two lane road.
Instead, I killed the squirrel.
It was me or the squirrel and I CHOSE ME.
When I think of our government, sometimes, I wonder do they feel the same?
Am I the squirrel?
When will I cross the road?
